Sainsbury's 2014 Indoor Athletics

The Sainsbury's Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham on 15 February 2014 provided a feast of exciting athletics as athletes sought to claim a place in the World Indoor Championships in Poland in March.

Murielle Ahoure of Cote d'Ivoire pulled off a great victory over Olympic and World Champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in another sensational race in which both runners clocked 7.10.

But the highlight of the day was without question Genzebe Dibaba's world record in the 2 miles.

A full crowd at the NIA created a brilliant atmosphere

Stuart was at the event writing about Hannah England - it was a short report as Hannah pulled out with a cold virus - and supporting athletes.

That the pre-event press conference was on Valentine's Day, added a sense of fun to the day

with Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce the centre of attention

But the happily married Jamaican rejected all advances

At least Kim Collins ended up with some chocolate roses.
