Group of pastors at sports ministry seminar

"Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play…it is war minus the shooting."

George Orwell

2010 visit

Stuart was in Togo and Benin in January 2010. The principal reason for the visit was to see and take some equipment to the Amis du Monde, girls football team. He also met with the Togo sports coalition and addressed a group of pastors on sports ministry.

A day was spent visiting a national football academy and a basketball club as well as meeting the vice-president of the Togo Olympic Committee. He also spent time with the technical director of the Togo Football Association, who had been on the team bus which was shot at in Angola.

A 24 hour visit to Benin took in a visit to a church which had been founded through football, speaking to a sports group and watching a church football team.
