"Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play…it is war minus the shooting."

Great City Games 2014

Stuart was at the Great City Games in Manchester in May. The event takes place in the city centre with a track built specially in Deansgate. Stuart was writing for the Oxford Mail and reporting for 2K+ radio as well as providing a listening ear or a word of encouragement for athletes.

The John Rylands library provides an impressive backdrop for the track.

Runners in the rarely run 200 metres hurdles.

Jarryd Wallace leads the T44 200 metres but was pipped by Felix Streng

Jarryd Wallace and David Price, two athletes Stuart has got to know over the past year.

There is an athlete in there somewhere, surrounded by members of the press.
