Glasgow Indoor Athletics
The British Indoor Athletics season got underway with the Sainsburys International meeting at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. A Commonwealth Select team beat GB, USA and Scotland in a close encounter in front of a noisy sell-out crowd.To mark Burns’ night, the athletes were lead into the press conference by a piper with Scottish captain, Eilidh Child, carrying a haggis.This was followed by the recitation of a Burns poem - see above.
