At the British Athletics Writers’ Association (BAWA) Awards in London, Dame Mary Peters was awarded the Ron Pickering Memorial Award for Services to Athletics. Mo Farah was voted British male athlete of the year and Laura Muir the female athlete.Perri Shakes Drayton, who was out for 4 years with injury collected the BAWA Inspiration Award.
