"I love the sense of satisfaction that I get when I’ve done a swimming workout or race, and know that I gave my whole being and heart to God in every moment of the swim. It’s the best worship I can offer him."
A New Chapter!Greetings to one and all from the hot and humid climes of Buenos Aires city!>
Just over a month ago, Fabio and I left the dreaming spires of Oxford behind us as we returned to the hustle and bustle of the urban jungle that is the capital of Argentina>Our first month has consisted mostly in getting settled and for me, chasing after bits of paper which I needed to present at the Immigrations Office for my permanent residency as an Argentine wife!> We have been able to catch up with many contacts and friends, at least to let people know we are around, spending time in the National Sports Centre (CeNARD), and being present at a few competitions and events
Christmas is nearly here and that means a lot of people disappear for a month or two!>This means that we anticipate starting some more formal ministry activities around February, which gives us some time to get organised and plan how we will go about this> We have been making the most of being reunited with our coach and training partners, spending around 4 to 5 hours a day on biomechanics and technical work as part of an ongoing process of rehabilitation> We have definitely felt the benefit of being back under supervision rather than at a distance, as the learning process is much quicker and we are making progress at a much faster rate> This has also been a good opportunity to share life with others and in some cases, this leads to interesting conversations about the Christian faith
Fabio and I value your ongoing support and prayers, and wish you a joyful and peaceful Christmas whether in you find yourself in height of summer or cosily wrapped up warm inside> We know that the reason for our festivities remains the same!> God bless!>
